Tidbit 4 RSS

This RSS is the most amazing Thing I have experienced so far, it has also answered a lot of questions for me. I've always wondered how this was done. I know I am just on the surface of what you can do with this, and I want to learn more

I am excited about the experience I am having with this RSS Thing until I just can't seem to get any further. But because of time constraints I am not actually learning all that I am doing. I need to spend more time to really learn what I am doing.

I really like all the new things I am experiencing, it has open a whole new world for me on the Internet. I know this is where I will be spending a lot of my time. It is so much to learn just in this part of the 23 Things alone. I beleive I will be on this part of the assignment for about 4 of 5 days or more.

Tidbit 3

I just returned from a long journey Web searching. Although it was fun, time just got away from me. I read many blogs about the different search engines, the bottom line is the ones that save me time and give me many options is the one I like best.

NPR is a good site for Online news, but my favorite is Refdesk, It gives me a huge variety and I like being able to read the news and also check out the stock market, getting the word for the day, a calendar is right there to remind me of important dates,etc..

Search engines are very exciting they take you places you never dreamed of, so you are sort of like the everyready battery, you keep going and going and going.

Tidbit 2

After watching the video of Stephen Abram it gives me a better understanding of what Web 2.0 is all about.
I certainly agree that the Library must change as with the time. So much is happening so fast.
Technology is a poweful source and it moves faster than a speeding bullet.
If I am going to be more resourceful and serve others better, I need to enhance my skills beyond the surface of the Web. Keeping up with new technology should be an ongoing process for all of us especially library workers. I am learning this more each day.

Tidbit 1

Hello,

Setting up my blog account was not hard but I had a few bumps in the road. I think blogging will be a lot of fun but very time consuming.
However, blogging will be a learning experience for me, because I know nothing about blogging.
